Default One piece plug question

Has anybody that installed one piece plugs such as Champion or Brisk had any problem removing them after a few thousand miles, maybe 15 or 20 thousand?
I put in a set of Champions about 14 thousand miles ago and the car still runs great, but I've begun to wonder if I should pull them, clean and re-lube with nickel anti-seize or leave well enough alone. Anybody?

I pull mine every time I change the oil (at 10k miles) and check the condition. Granted I've only pulled them once since installation but they looked great (except for a bit of rust from water in the gas).

I wouldn't worry about the Champs pulling apart. Yank them about every 5-10k to see what they look like. You can be proactive on fuel/ignition issues that way.

Gotcha. What kind of plugs are you running?

Some people say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Other want to pull it and get it done with ASAP before the cabon can really set in.

I got the Champion 1 pieces from Rock Auto, but the day after, summit had them for $3 cheaper per plug. Shop around.

All of my plugs were damn tight. Used a torque wrench and it took about 65 foot pounds to break em loose. I swore a lot during the process.

It's your call. People say the plugs are good for 100k, but with ALL cars, if you don't remove the plugs periodically, they will seize regardless.

I swapped the originals out for the Champion one-piece at about 16k miles.

So your Champions were in for 10K miles, and you didn't have any problem removing them? I assume you used anti-seize when you installed them.

I thought the whole idea of going with the one piece plugs was you didn't have to worry about them breaking? If that's the case, I wouldn't pull them again until I was ready to replace them.

No problems removing them at all. I actually didn't really have a problem removing the originals, a bit of breakfree and they came right out. I do use anti-seize when I check/reinstall.
