Question Lowering w/ FRPP Springs

Thinking about lowering my GT convertible and was checking out the FRPP springs. Can I install the springs, get a realignment and be good to go? Or will other changes be required?
Thanks for your help.

you can just do that....but it is reccomended that you get new aftermarket shocks and struts. Here is a look of how low its gonna sit.

Default frp spring

Hi,
I have the springs on my car. If you want to budget the install make sure to mark your current struts on removal so as you can put them back in at the same exact angle. This will not totally prevent the realign, but it could minimize it.

If you keep your stock struts in they will obviously work, but they will die out quicker as they will be in a precompressed status.

How come ford doesn't have a adj panhard with their FRPP kit? Everyone else seems to think you need one with a drop.

I have the FRPP lowering kit. It comes with camber bolts. I have 18x10 with 285/45's and it is aligned perfect. There is some adjustment in the rear panhard. The kit works perfect and the ride is awesome. Change the struts out when you put on new springs because you will spend more in the long run by paying again for the install. Save the money and do it all at one time.

you can install the springs yourself, its a breeze and shouldnt take more than 2hrs. The rears take 15min, its that easy.

Keep in mind that on convertibles, the rears take a little longer as the chassis stiffners run below the rear axle and do not allow the axle to drop far enough to remove the stock springs. There are 2 different ways to approach... take the extra time to remove the chassis stiffner bolts (about 10 total) to allow the rear axle to drop far enough or pick up a cheap spring compressor and you can quickly compress the stocks enough to allow them to drop out.

I found the second method from a guy another forum after I already had installed mine

If you decide to do this yourself and have and questions about the rears, just drop me a PM.
