Default The Spark Plug problem?

Ok so I keep hearing about a problem our cars have with the spark plugs and them breaking off or hurting the car or something.

Do all 05-09's have this problem and is it something that if I do not get them replaced now... then later I could really damage my car or spend alot on fixing?

If I remember correctly, I believe the heads were redesigned in late 2007's or 2008's to fix this problem. Somebody else confirm this please...

It was late 2008 I believe.

Most people seem to suggest doing the TSB ASAP on cars that have the problem. I plan on doing mine next year when it's got about 20K on it.

Anyone know what the TSB on this is and where to find it?

Ok question.

If I take my car in and have the plugs changed right before my 36k mi warranty wont the problem still exist? (I know I'll have to pay but I feel better bringing it in before the full warranty runs out)

I mean the clock on how long before I change them will be reset... but won't the problem of the plugs breaking later still be there if the dealer does not know about this problem? I called two dealers in my area and both had never heard of this problem.
How would changing the plugs now solve the problem of them breaking in the future? ESPECIALLY if they used the factory plugs to replace them?

It is total 100% BS if they are telling you they haven't heard of it.

Log on to ANY mustang forum or ANY F150 forum and you can find 100's of threads just like this one and 100's that have the full TSB posted in them along with links to sites to buy the extraction tool, etc.

Every dealer out there has gotten the TSB and 99% of them have pulled the plugs from Mustangs and F150's and had them break. MOST of them will try to charge you in the $700 range for this.

Please, do a search of the forums or just google - you'll find threads where folks have done it themselves, taking their time, following the TSB to a "T" and replaced the plugs with either the Brisks, Champions or Autolites.

It was fixed in the later 2008 models. So - if you've got an 06 - you've got the issue. MAYBE your plugs will all come right out - I hope so. Just take your time with it, pick a day where you've got NOTHING else to do, because its a time consuming project.

Oh and BTW there is more than one TSB for this... I was wondering if anyone had a link to the most current one that has the newest updated instructions?
Thx

Also what about my last question....
If I do take it to them, and they replace the plugs... how is this issue not going to arise again?

Also...So basiclly I'm looking at 300 bucks now if I take it to the dealer (not doing it myself sorry) and possibly 700 if I take it in after another 65k miles or so.

Other than the 400 dollar increase in cost if they do break...is there any real danger
to the car's performance or life if they do break off and are then taken out and replaced ?

(btw I have had my car for close to 3 yrs, with 30k mi on it)
