when do they ever check to see if the TPMS was turned on???? how do they know that tires just were not inflated to the correct pressure. also how do they know its not an 06 without TPMS. my friend wrecked his 08 and no one checked his TPMS or even checked to see if it was an 07+....also its not against the law to put new rims on with out the TPMS...its against the law to disable the TPMS through the computer.
exactly, I had my car inspected for the first time this week, since I have had my new wheels, its not even part of the state inspection.
Mine doesnt even go off that often, deffinetly not every time I start the car. Save the cash and push the button, JMHO

I was going to suggest this. This actually works well if you keep it pressurized.

But I think you should just suck it up and get them transferred. Would suck to unknowingly lose pressure and ruin your tires and wheels. $150 is much cheaper than replacing a wheel and tire.
