Default O/R H without a tuner?

I have read on the Tacobill's sticky that an O/R H pipe will need to have the rear O2 sensor turned off. Can you run an O/R H without turning off that sensor? If so is there any way of turning it off without dropping nearly $400 bucks on a tuner?

You'll just get a CEL. So you'll be spending a lot of time unplugging your battery to clear it.

A tuner may be a little expensive, but it really is worth it (especially if you combine it with a CAI). I can not describe in enough words how awesome a CAI+tune is. I guarantee you'll forget about the price once you feel what a tuned GT is like.

Don't drop $400 on a tuner, drop $600 on a tuner/CAI package, you will never look back! Oh, and what pants said, they have to turn off the sensors.

unless you use mil eliminators, but would skip that and get the CAI and tune, you can find some in the classifieds for 400 with intake and tuner.. I did... CAI only had 3,000 miles on it looked brand new.

I dont think MILs will even work for your car. I have heard that they only work for 05-06 and not 07+.....Which wouldnt matter anyways because you can find meth or pcp MUCH MUCH easier then MILs which are illegal. I have a set that I have not used yet and maybe this spring I will find out if they work. But yeah either drive around with your cel on constantly or get a tuner.......it sucks I know.

Thanks everyone. I will probably just have to try and control myself and do the intake and CAI first then an H pipe. I mean I want the CAI and tuner, but the H pipe is so cheap, and it makes the car sound sooo much better. You know if I were to do the H pipe first and put up with the cel would the car be cutting back on power to compensate for the cel?? Hmmmmm...

What the heck is sound compared to 15-30 RWHP??? If I were king, I'd make a CAI & tune mandatory for all GT owners...

Im sure I will love the new found power and responsiveness when I do an intake/tune.......but A deep/loud setup is soooooo much more enjoyable IMO.
