I have the same tunes from Brenspeed, I find the 93 pulls harder in the higher RPM range (above 3500-4000 RPM) compared to the 89 and 87. The 89 pulls nice in the lower range but still holds it's own in the upper band as well. I've only used the 87 tune on the highway when I couldn't get anything higher and I didn't really put it thru the ropes but it's definately stronger all-around than the stock 87 tune. I drive mostly highway (probably up your way; Paducah, KY to Chicago NW burbs about once or twice/month) and run the 89 tune almost exclusively.

Yeah, I like the way the Brenspeed 93 pulls after 3500 rpm. I guess I can try the 89 (& 87) tunes with 93 oct fuel and see how they work. If I like the way they perform, I'll start running the correct fuel.

I've run an 87 Performance from Bama and a 93 Race from Bama.

My 87 Perf tune was butt awful. My mpg dropped a whopping 30%. The car was A LOT slower than stock. Probably slower than a 6'er. I called Bama and got a new 87 Perf tune and it might have been about on par with stock. Needless to say, the 87 tune left a bad taste in my mouth.

The 93 Race tune from Bama is head & shoulders better than the 87 Performance tune - I think. I'm still not convinced I have a proper 87 Performance tune.

I have Bamachips 87,89tq, 91tq and 91 race. I usually run the 91 tunes, but the 87 tune is awesome as well. I dynoed the 87 and 91 tunes back to back. The problem with 87 tune was it ran rich. I don't know if having 91 octane gas in the tank had anything to do with it. The 87 is 001, 91 race is 002 and 91 tq is 003 and 004.

I like both the tq and race tune. The race tune might be better on the hwy, but the tq has been better at the strip.

Exactly my thoughts. I have Brenspeed tunes for 87, 89 & 93 octane. I have been running 93 octane & tune until the weather got cold. I decided I don't push it that hard in the winter so I dropped back to 87 octane & tune. You know, it still runs great. The Brenspeed 87 octane tune is noticably better than the factory 87 octane tune. When the weather gets warm again, if the gas hasn't gone back to $4, I'll switch back to 93 octane tune - I think.

Running too rich...good to hear. Because my Bama tunes are both burning 5% more gas than my stock tune did. Not sure what if anything I will do to fix that. A dyno run is expensive, costing way more than I'd save in gas by fixing this.

I don't know if was running rich because I had 91 Octane in the tank. The shop had specials on dyno runs $20 for the 1st and $10 for each additional.

I have a Brenspeed C&L. When I first installed it I used the 93 tune, but then changed it to 87 and I dont notice one bit of difference between the two.
