Dyno Disappointment

JPC is basically a mustang shop. They frequently tune S197's. And they have been in and are quoted in a bunch of mustang magazines. As far as I know they are a great shop. Justin the owner said that the numbers are definitely off and he doesn't know what's wrong with it. He said he would love to just dissect the car and figure out the problem but 1. it's my daily driver and 2. I don't really want to spend $90 and hour for however long it will take them to tear my entire car apart and rebuild it.

Have you checked your plugs? https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...-are-back.html

Something is not right IMO.....I agree they seem like a good shop from what i know but it sounds like they did the run in 3rd gear and not 4th really. Does the car feel a lot different? You should easily pick up 50 hp over stock with all of those additions!

it could be plugs..if you have the dyno sheet you could see spark blow out by the reading etc....do you have the dyno sheet? a colder plug is reccommended with a SC on the s197, I dont know about the necessity with your mods....

My cam is a different grind, but I'm pushing 390rwhp and and running the stock plugs. *Should* Work just fine unless you have Nitrous or the F/I.

Something is definitly not right. With just my C&L Intake and bama tune, I made 282 HP and 280 ft lbs. Haven't had a dyno run since I did my UDPs, CMDPs and COPS yet (that's a lot of initials!).
You guys that are talking about the Dyno run being in 4th gear. Are you sure that's how its done in an Auto? If you had it in 4th (which is Drive) and stomped on it, wouldn't it just kick down to third anyway?
