Default Carbon Fiber coating

I came across the hydrographics vendor in the classified, and decided to have a couple pieces done. My understanding is that it is not actual carbon fiber, but is a film that is applied through a hydro forming process and covered with a clearcoat. I think it turned out awesome. Unfortunately my point and shoot camera skills suck, think it looks much better in person.

Just thought I would pass along for those considering it, I know before I pull the trigger on most things I want to look for as much info and pictures possible.

the more I look at those pictures the more it is starting to grow on me. I wish there was a way you can do that with real carbon fiber though.

Full blown replacement, I can't stand the stick ons but what the OP did is much more economical and I'd say it looks just as good. The guy has a ton of different weaves you can choose from.

Toy4Bob, thanks for the pix I am very interested in getting those same two peices you got. I was concerned that the process would distort the design when changing direction so much like in the cup holders but it looks like they are black inside and not C/F... is that correct? I thought it might look strange.

If you want real C/F the place in the link below has actual C/F but its expensive and they only have the console top as I understand it. See the link below.
