I would say if the Whipple instructions tell you to take it out, and your installer did take it out... leave it out. My guess is they tell you to take it out so it doesn't trap heat in under the hood.

Like I said earlier...According to Shannon at WMS, you can either toss it or leave it in. There is no difference...take it for what it's worth.

WMS makes some great parts and I love my intake, but the hood blanket is a big no no. It's made of plastic and will never lay flush and look nice.
