I talked to the guy that built it, he did it out of his garage. Should be in an upcoming MM&FF for anyone interested!

I might be confused but it sounds as if you have 9K for everything or 9k to spend for the motor?

seeing as how wide the 4.6 3v motor is, i really dont think stuffing a 351w would be too hard.

you could build an awesome 408 or 427 stroker, go with an aftermarket EFI setup (if your scared of carbs), and have money left over for the swap for 9k

IMO I would find a complete drivetrain from a wrecked GT-500.

Even if it runs you more money it is worth it if you want to make crazy power, plus you get the blower and a 6speed with the computer to make it run.

Then you just need the nickle and dime stuff and a 8.8 from a GT.

If you cant swing that I would look for a 4.6L 3V drivetrain from a wrecked GT.

Then you can send it off to a shop and have the engine built forged to a 298ci. While doing that you can upgrade the trans with a clutch and internals and install a 8.8 rear from a GT.

Then save whats left over and a few bucks more and get some kind of FI.

Other choice is to pull everything you like off your car sell it and buy a GT or GT 500 and go from there. In the long run probably cheaper.

There is a sick 07 GT with a whipple for sale on S 197 Forums for $20k.

Cant beat that.

1) Get any kind of 4.6 block and stroke it, blow it, heads and cams and call it a day. I'm using the stocker but if yours is a 6 banger price is the only thing that will limit your options!

2) Find a 3v 5.4 out of an F150 and go crazy with it.

3) Try to track down a totaled GT500 - will be hard BUT well worth your while.

4) If you didn't want to keep all the electronics, a build up on a carb motor would be the easiest swap as far as electronics go but you'd be giving up a lot of Fuel Injected benefits. Would be the cheapest option by far but I would go with one of the other 3 given the choice.

If I can be any help just let me know!
WTF? Why'd you cut the vid short. How much horsepower does the stroker make?
