seriously a stroked 351w (408 or 427) would make insane power, fit well, and definitely be different.

*edit* and we're talking 5k for a 550-600hp motor which leaves 4k for install and other stuff, or a turbo/supercharger/blower for even more HP
I have thought alot about putting some older motors in my car. But it just seems like you have to go through a lot more difficulty and fabrication to make it work.

I'm in fact building a 408 for a '68 vert right now, us "newer model stang guys" like to push the limits of the new technology. Sure a 408 may be awesome and no one has put them into a S197 before, but it's been crammed in quite a few other things. It's more of a challenge for myself, can't speak for the others, but to each his own.

lol yeah dude i have a 06 gt as well as my II, and i even have a dog of a 4.6 NPI motor in my town car
