Question about GTA Mufflers?
I most likely will pick these up for my car considering the Borla Stingers (Aggressive) I had on my 01 GT had too much drone (automatic). Also, my wife doesn't want anything loud :/
I didn't listen to the radio for like 3 weeks cause 1) couldn't hear it 2) most importantly, I LOVED that sound :P
Here is a decent sound clip I found with before and after:

I would love to get a Borla instead, but oh well...

Hmmm....my GTA's don't sound like that! They are much quieter. Makes me wonder if the guy didn't install an offroad H or X that he isn't telling us about. The clip, for whatever reason, makes them sound reeeeallly good. But again, mine don't sound like that.
Everything sounds better and more aggressive on youtube filmed with a 100$ digital camera that can't properly record audio to begin with, then compressed to youtube streaming quality.
Even the stock exhaust sounds nice on youtube.
I didn't drive the shelby H, but did sit with it idling and revving in a hertz parking lot.
Sounded very nice. The Xpipe does make a considerable difference.
BUT Again, this was cold start, and the GT exhaust with GTAs dosen't sound terrible on coldstart either.
I think a different midpipe would make all the difference.
They have a great sound, this much can not be argued, but the cats/stock pipes limit them greatly.
I was floored when I ran this car without muffs, and how quiet it is...

I found this clip doing a web search. Granted the guy doesn't know how to hang mufflers straight and level...but it sounds nice. These are the "extreme" mufflers. I would more than likely purchase the "pro" mufflers as they are recommended for an automatic.

Stock > GTA > 5GT
^Is that correct?
Are the GTAs a little bit louder, or "just enough"? I don't want to have something too loud, but I want to have that nice v8 sound (the one that I missed when I had my scion).
Ninosport just raised their prices on the GTA's to $499! The are now in line with Late Model Restoration Supply who is selling them at $419! The cheapest I could find them was on steeda.com for $325. If anyone wants to buy mine for $290 + shipping (only on the car for a week) let me know. I ordered the IMCO "Pros" today.

I just heard about this, and this is kinda related to the inside cabin sounds from the exhaust. Ford knew about this (too much sound proofing), that is why in the new 2010 model, they are actually putting a vent of some kind directly into the cabin to let the sounds/vibrations be heard.
Found them on Jegs for $379.99 and other places maybe even cheaper. I have a feeling prices will come down, just have to wait more.

The 5230-GTB sounds pretty nice as well. However I only found 1 or 2 sound clips, so its hard to pass judgment.
EDIT: I am really starting to like the M-5230-GTBs - I think I am going to go for that instead of the M-5230-GTA.
