Got it all cleared through insurance and just waiting on the claims people to call back and give us a go. The guy wants to just repair the panel if possible and quote $1800 for it..I think he is gonna find he is going to have to replace the panel.

The rim appears to be ok but he is going to take it to Discount and get their opinion. It only has black on it from her tire and doesn't seem to have any scratches or anything so she may get lucky and not have to replace the rim.

But it still drives fine and everything just looks terrible lol
I would insist that they replace the quarter panel. If they don't want to comply, take it to another shop. It's her fault, let her insurance deal with the bill. It's your car and you have to live with it.

Yes I agree, we have been using the same shop (not the first hit for the stang) but the guy we usually deal with is no longer with the company. So I will wait until I drop it off for sure and tell him to really look at it because it is pretty mangled.

I think it's funny how it's always or almost always some LADY/WOMAN that hit one of our cars!! I have yet to read one where a guy hit you. I am sure it happens but most of the stories I read involve a woman.

You need a quarter, even the wheel housing is caved in...
Don't let them butcher that car!!

This thing is gonna be full of bondo if you let them have their way and lots of mud on that area is bound to crack if some heavy slob decides to lean on it.

The outer lip of our quarter panels are weak because of the rolled edge design.
It's that way to accept a wide tire to be flush, without rubbing on the sheet metal.

Good luck man.

Be sure that they actually test that rim. I would think you would have noticed if it was bent but you never know right.
