People drive like fricken idiots, last year I had three cars wrecked, 99 Isuzu, rear ended 2 time DUI. 9K damage; 2000 Lexus, hit by semi driver focused on Boston Market in grocery parking lot, 5K damage paid by trucking Co.; 2001 Taraus, 17 year old ran stop sign talking on her cell phone, 5.5k totaled by her insurance Co.. I am almost afraid to take out the Stang.

I think I have the reason that its usually women that hit the mustangs, My theory is the men are the ones who see the car and stare at it never losing sight of it and sometimes they slow down so they are safer. Plus women cant drive, ha jk i know thats not true

Got it all cleared through insurance and just waiting on the claims people to call back and give us a go. The guy wants to just repair the panel if possible and quote $1800 for it..I think he is gonna find he is going to have to replace the panel.

The rim appears to be ok but he is going to take it to Discount and get their opinion. It only has black on it from her tire and doesn't seem to have any scratches or anything so she may get lucky and not have to replace the rim.

But it still drives fine and everything just looks terrible lol
I agree the panel should be replaced and see pascal's comment below (he is a bodyman)

Don't let them butcher that car!!

This thing is gonna be full of bondo if you let them have their way and lots of mud on that area is bound to crack if some heavy slob decides to lean on it.

The outer lip of our quarter panels are weak because of the rolled edge design.
It's that way to accept a wide tire to be flush, without rubbing on the sheet metal.

Good luck man.
You tell him, pascal!......OP get it done right! the first time!
