I agree with you. But I heard that you can leave them off if you prefer. It only needs to say Edelbrock once under the hood (not three times!).

I agree, the covers are a bit much. According to the store I went to, they are not required. The cost I saw in Hot Rod was MSRP $5999.00 U.S. ($7291.00 CDN) They Quoted me $7400 CDN with taxes in.

The interesting part I find, and I know very, very little about SC and parts and how they go in is that with the Edelbrock, all the pieces are shipped to you. No running off to get more parts. I know more about Blood than Oil...Also, the wiring harnesses are matched up with factory Ford OEM clips so there is no splicing of wires. With this kit, I might attempt it on my own with some help from friends.

The other thing I might do is wait to see if others around me have them installed and see what kind of numbers they are getting plus, how difficult/easy it was to put in. I went through the guide for the Saleen and it seemed pretty intensive but like I said, I know more about Blood than Oil.

The Techco SC looks like the same concept. Will litigation be forthcoming?

Has anyone read any articles on either of these new SCs in the mags? If so which ones and when?
