Default siphon gas

anyone do this with these mustangs?

trying to emty a full tank without driving 300 miles so we can start a SC install. The SC needs 93, and I stored it for the winter with full tank 87

Drive it down to a half tank and fill-up with aviation fuel. Isn't that 100 octane? That would work out to about 93-94 octane.

well, we opted for some driving time and at just below 1\4 tank filled with 94 octane. Will start with the 91 tune the next time we start the supercharged engine!

There is no anti siphon valve but there is a saddle bag type fuel tank and
getting the syphon tube to the other side of the tank would be impossable.
The Ford Workshop manual states that to drain the tank, BOTH rear
seats must be removed to gain access to the top of the fuel tank.
There are two fuel sending units and each on has to be removed to
be able to access both sides of the fuel tank. Just look under the rear
fender and follow the rollor coaster type fuel fill hose that goes from the
fuel filler to the fuel tank. Its almost 2 feet long. I dont see you getting
any more than a mouth full of fuel and about another gallon before you
loose the syphon leaving about the same amount of fuel in the tank before
you started.
