Actually, the smart thing to do would be, to buy the good quality paint yourself and ask Earl to shoot your stripes with that.
Their painter won't mind using good stuff...

Now, as for taping skills... all bets are off!

HaHa. I remember when Earl Schibe did his own TV commercials and said he would paint a car for 39.95 (that was a long time ago). He had a lousy rep like Macco does. I thought they were out of business so I looked them up and sure enough they are still screwing up cars.

I did have an old car repainted by Macco and it was not an improvement. It had every flaw known to occur on repainted cars.

Don't do it.

Preparation, workmanship, professionalism, that's what. You'll get a nice layer of clear coat with dirt in it. I had a car painted by Maaco once and they told me they couldn't paint it without getting stuff in the paint. It was riddled with bits of **** in the paint.

Was not the easiest thing, but i loved it so much i said eff busting a grand on stripes when my vinyl makes me happy and i can replace it whenever i want for around 40 bucks and a weekend.it has been on my car for almost 7 months now and no problems.... Why paint unless your gonna go for top quality? Im pretty sure you will be happy with vinyl
so far I havent found a reasonable price , everyone so far wants $500 which is ridiculous
