Default spoiler aerodynamics

Does it make any difference in what spoiler the mustang has from a aerodynamic point of view, or is it just for looks?

Probably not a lot for the stock or small spoilers/wings. Any foil needs to be tall or long (stick out fron the rear) enough to catch a significant amount of air in order to be effective.

Most of what you'll get out of the stock sizes is looks and drag

I was thinking about upgrading to the shelby spoiler, just wanted to know what you guys thought (esp about aero).

Think you need something like this before it does anything and then you need to be going fast enough well should say need the HP to overcome the drag.. But since these guys are all racing identical cars it doesnt really matter either. I want one of these in my garage.. Or could by the wing only $1700... Ouch!

i know for the GT500 KR they changed to a V6 style spoiler to reduce drag. but i'm sure that's only at very high speeds.

get a roush dude, roushes help with aero dynmics and they are just aggressive looking, the only bad thing i hate about the the mustang spiolers is that people use it as a handle to open the trunk, one time my ex gf almost ripped off my ****in spoiler because she didnt know how to open my trunk... the glue holding in down started to peel up, now i always open my trunk for people cuz i dont want people screwin up my roush spoiler.

I like it quite a bit (thanks all), but I doubt I would install it myself.

I cant stand drilling holes in a new car :/ ...bad enough I am doing hood pins to try to fix the hood shaking issue.
