Getting ready for header instal
ok il answer these in order you have listed
1. just have a ton of wrenches . . a box ratchet wrench will help a ton cause some places you wont be able to get a socket in and have a long extension and swivel head
2. no just bolt the start back up
3. when you take the steering shaft off mark the top with a T and the bottom with a B. . you will forget witch is witch believe me i almost did but i marked mine . . . and you will need two people to put it back in
4 i cant tell ya i just used the bolts that came him the headers an some loc tight
5. i dont think you need one i didnt have one and just used the mustang monthly article and the papers that came with the BBK headers
6. no it didint but you wont be able to get a TQ wrench in there anyway
7. haha id say heineken
here are some tips they dont tell you . . . first take off the CAI/stock airbox . . .makes alot more room for the top bolts on drivers side . . second take the battery and battery tray out . . again makes more room to get top header bolts . . . also i removed my front wheels you will need to atleast remove the passenger side to get to the motor mount and starter . . and just reuse the stock metal gasket. . . last but not least make sure you anti seize all the slip joints and 02 sensors
PS when you jack the engine up use two good sized phone books insted of the 2x4 piece of wood
if you need anymore help just pm me

thanks. i have made a few notes. you wouldn't happen to have a video of your set up would you? =)
a video of how they sound ? or when i was putting them on?
im trying to get a my cam back from a friend to get a video of how they sound
as to the a video of how they were set up i am sorry i dont . . but it really is alot easier then it looks . . . dont get me wrong its till a pain at times lol . ..
oh i was thinking back when you put the headers on if i remember right you have to removed the two stock header bolts from the top closest to the back . . .an the bottom two closest to the back as well . . . i just removed all my stock top bolts so i looked nice . . . . . .oh and dont tighten the bottom first nor the top first get all the bolts *top an bottom* started then go and tighten them in
Run, don't walk, to get an 8mm ratcheting box wrench with an angle on it. Like this..

If you don't have one of these, don't try it. It is worth any wait to have this tool. Notice that's a 10mm. I didn't have the #*$&#%(^& 8mm one when I did my install. #*$& @#^$*(% #@^$&*
I doubt you have to take off the steering linkage. I didn't. I installed Bassani LT's which are a bit different from yours. But I had no problem getting the stock manifold out of the driver side. Would have had no problem putting it back on the way it came out also.

the stage 8 locking header bolts have a "stepped" head to them. after you bolt in the regular bolt, you slip a "washer" looking thing over the head that juts out to one cide c> like that sort of. the angled part is supposed to make contact with a part of the primary tubing so that before it can be backed out, it just hits against the tubing "a stop" before being able to be turned out any more. after you put the "washer" over it it is secured with a c clip that goes into the "stepped" part of the bolt. they are a pain in the *** to put on and i would imagine them being even more of a pain to take off. i would suggest saving yourself the $70 (at least thats what mine cost) and just buy the ones that i am offering to sell to you (the non locking bolts that came with my MAC long tubes). if you want them, shoot me an offer or something.
and YES, gear wrenches are a savior for this install. so happy that i had access to them. in my case, we did have to remove both the starter AND the steering shaft (removed entirely, not just unbolted). we also removed both motor mounts and the support that actually bolts to the block, made things a lot easier (although not completly easy, just easier). i dont think we could have accessed at least 1 if not more of the header bolts had we not taken the entire motor mounts off.
