Default Headlights

Hi,
I have a 2006 Mustang and my headlamps are very weak. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if there are stronger headlights out there that will work with a 2006 Mustang. I appreciate any help.
Thanks

By weak, I assume you mean dim. I'd check the voltage at the connectors before doing anything else. Some lamps may dim a bit a with age but not a lot. If the voltage is fine, then you can expect to get about 47,391 different suggestions on replacement lamps. Personally, stay away from anything over the "bust my headlights with a baseball bat" value of 5000K. There are some very good, non-obnoxious lamps out there in the 4000K to 5000K range. I have a personal favorite in the Sylvania Silverstars.

Hi,
Thanks and I have a couple questions for you. Did you install the package yourself? Was it simple? Also, I do not want to be getting constantly pulled over and cited for having headlights that are too strong. So you think going with the 6k is OK? I am wondering if I should go with the 8k but I do not really know what the difference would be. Like I said, I do not want to constantly be getting pulled over. Anything else you can provide me with I appreciate.
Thanks

I agree with Nuke. I like Silverstar bulbs. I had them for for maybe a year and a half - very good product.
I decided I wanted to step up to HIDs, so I went with a Retro-Solutions 35W, 6000K Bi-Xenon kit. Best money I ever spent.
Silverstars are better, HID the best.

I don't want to be obnoxious but the stock lights provide me with very little light. Like I said, I don't know the real difference between a 6-8k. I just want something that will provide me with more light when I drive for safety, not to attract attention.

Can you explain to me what HIDs exactly are? I am new to all of this.
Thanks

I have the silverstars and they are great. Have had them for over a year. I like HIDs, but don't need them right now.

I gotta agree w/nuke. I have oem HID's on my mustang and Silver Star Ultra's on my '02 SVT focus. I can see better with the silver stars than the HID's.Go figure. And they're a heck of a lot less than HID's.

I looked up the Silverstar lights. I found this link: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...ghPerformance/ . Please correct me if this is the incorrect website to purchase these lights. I just have a couple of questions.

So these work well with the '06 Mustang? Like I said, I am not doing this for style it is more for safety.

It looks like they have a variety of different lights. Which is best? The Silverstar, Silverstar Signal, Cool Blue, ExtraVision or Xenarc? I am interested in what will provide me with the most light for my '06 Mustang.

Thanks again
