I would get SS lines, upgraded brake fluid and Hawk HPS pads. You will see a noticeable improvement, and its a cheap upgrade too.

Hawk HPS are nice pads, but I've faded them. In fact i faded them alot easier than I would have thought. Check out Akebono pads and EBC too. I'm partial to ceramic for DD b/c of the overall lack of dust, but they'll have less bite than a ferrous compound.

On that note, for SS brake lines, how much does it cost to install them or how hard is it to install them yourself? Does it require bleeding the brakes or what? ANyone have a good write up for SS brake lines install?

Not hard to install yourself but you do need to bleed the lines and if you're doing it yourself, get some speed bleeders, they make it an easier one-man job.

For the SS brake lines, some of the big brake kits come with just the front set. Would you get all four and just replace them all or does just doing the front brake lines improve the pedal feel?

I wouldn't discourage anyone from getting SS lines but honestly they will do very little if anything for you DDs. One reason folks say to get them is because it makes your pedal firmer, the theory being the stock lines expand a bit when you press on them and the SS don't. In my 07 GT I have to cry BS, they didn't make one bit of difference. Maybe in an older car with a lot of miles. But if you track your car, its a different story, the heat generated is intense and can soften the lines.

Thanks all, its good to know I don't have to spend a 1000+ when I probably won't be that happy with the outcome :P

HPS pads + SS lines = cheap, but nice

As Argonaut pointed out SS lines are not needed, but I will do it anyway as a "just in case" measure.

So the rotors are fine, or should I get aftermarket?
