I ordered Pypes O/R H it will be here on Friday and I want to install it Saturday on problem is my tuner probably wont get to me until Friday NEXT week and I won't e able to turn off the O2 Sensers until then obviously. So all i want to know is will it hurt the car at all if I do it without a tune for a bit other then getting a CEL? And will that bug the car at all? Thanks in advance.

 

Ok B, here is the deal. You may or may not have any problems other than CEL's but I have heard that there is a possibility that your car may not run. Best thing to do is to call Bamachips or Bendspeed and ask them. I'm sure they would know the answer for sure on it.

i put long tubes with an O/R prochamber and didnt have to get a retune or CEL? hmm....
im still using both o2 sensors though (4 total, 2 on both sides)

 

B, are you running a custom tune now? And if so from who? Edit: Never mind I see your got a tune from Bama. There is NO need to get a retune B, Doug already has your custom tune preprogramed for that so your good to go! The only time you would of had an issue is if you were going from stock to a catless H Doug already turned off those two lower O2's

 

Well I am asking cause the tune hasn't arrived and isn't shipping until the end of the week but the H will be here on friday.... haha

 

I've been running mine for a few months with no tune. I get a CEL only when I drive it hard. The car does run a little rich without a tune, but it doesn't hurt anything.
