Burnouts ?

Yea its def do-able, you just have to feather the clutch right and youll get it. I've powerbreaked and managed to light it up in 4 gears. Tried 5th for the hell of it but obviously that was a no go haha.

With a manual you don't need to mess with the break then right? Just rev up to 4k and drop the clutch?

I go to the dealership and test drive GT's all the time just to mess around in em. They got a button on the center dash by where the little electrical outlet is that is just for traction control. Just push it and its off.

I have had to experiment a little. The best results have been to turn TCS off and drop it into 1st gear, and powerbrake it to about 2500 rpm or when the rear wheels start to break loose. As they break loose, slowly ease off the brake and roll into the throttle to get them spinning and smoking, until the rev limiter kicks in. I have found if I let off the brake too quick, the tires are not turning fast enough and it starts to hook up and just lays down a long patch of rubber... no smoke. It took me about 3 or 4 tries to get it just right.
Oh by the way, here is a pic from a different burnout that was the runner-up for my choice as my sig pic. I love the way the smoke is billowing out of the fenderwell.

Hey Don, is there a technique to burning out with an auto? I figure turning TCS off is a given, but do you apply brake and accelerate or just punch it?

I think that you should change your sig pic, if this was the runner up, this pic is so much more BADA$$ than your current one. I love this pic.

This is my husband shredding rubber with my first 07 GT manual that was rear ended.......I havent quite mastered the donut with a stick...working on it though! lol
