Default Spoiler install question

I received a OE GT500 spoiler in the mail and I noticed that non of the pads are sticky, nor screwed up from the take off. Now from what I read thats almost impossible since its double sided tape and its a pain to take off.

Which leads me to the question - how did they take off the the spoiler without harming the pads or anything else like that? Also, do I have to use double tape on the spoiler, or would the bolts be enough?

Most places will replace the tape for you. And "yes" use the tape

I am not going to a place to have it installed. Would just regular 3M double sided tape work?

Too bad you have to use tape and can't use something else thats easier to take off in case you want to change your spoiler.

You want to use the 3M automotive tape. You can get it at any auto parts store or even walmart. Looks like this here :
