Hi guys I just bought a Red Top Optima for my 05 Mustang but I think it may be too tall? anyone have this problem?

 

When I bought mine it fit alright

It's definitely taller, but the strap still works on mine.

 

what model did you buy?

 

The "35" Red Top Any problems with the hood closing?

 

my buddy bought one not sure which one but it hit the hood...you could tell if u looked closely when the hood was closed

 

I remember doing a lot of research before buying my batt.I have a 34/78, but the 35 fits also. With mine, I think it is touch the hood a little, but not much.

 

If there is a blanket on the bottom remove it and with the stock hood it should fit.....have you tried closing the hood slowly and checking to see if it rubs? Let us know Mike- Jason

 

yea mine is really close, never mind mine is the yellow top...LOL

 

Im about to buy a red top too..did you solve the fitment issue?

No I get it in the morning it had to be ordered...i have been hearing so many different things...it fits,hood hits,hood barely touches,have to modify tray, etc. just wish more people who had them would chime in...i know the yellow top fits fine i know someone with that one. help guys...........
