Default Hood Opinions Please

Hey guys, I am in the market for an aftermarket hood. I want a cowl style that will actually function. What do you guys think about the Seibon CL carbon fiber hood? I am normally not a fan of CF hoods, but on my black mustang that has flat black accents on it, I'm thinking it might actually look cool. The car is a weekend toy, not a daily driver. The only thing I am not sure of is if the vents on the back of the hood are actually open (so in other words, is it actually functional). My fallback plan is the Steeda race cowl hood, but it'll cost the same as this CF unit after I have it painted, and its fiberglass vs CF.

Here it is:

Ahh I didn't realize that, I'll have to find some pics. I just want to make sure whatever I buy is open in back and functional...

I ended up going with the Cervini's 2.5" cowl hood instead. They are painting it black for me. I should have it within 2 weeks hopefully. I really needed something that would lower underhood temps. That stock hood has a bit of a kiln effect, lol. The CF hood looked cool, but ultimately after reading up on them and the potential problems with fading, yellowing, cracking, etc, I decided against it. It wasnt THAT much cheaper, and I'd rather only buy a hood once...

Heres the one I bought. $844 painted, and $125 for shipping:

Thanks bud, yeah I hope so! It has vents at the rear that *should* allow air coming in to vent right out the back. I know the Steeda hood claims to allow the engine bay to be within 5 degrees of outside temps. I don't know if this one will work quite as well, but I hope so... I wanted a good fit, so I picked the Cervini's part over the Seibon. I'll probably try and find some matte black vinyl to go up the middle, but I'll have to measure it first...
