I purchased the filter cleaning kit from the Steeda website for my CAI. I used the cleaner and th filter has dried for a few days. The oil came in a spray can so I'm wondering how to ensure I don't over-oil the filter. I'm accustomed to oiling my old Amsoil deop-in filter which allows you to blot any excess but these filters don't allow us to do that.
Does anyone have any experience how NOT to over oil with the spray?

or upgrade to a dry one

the filters can be found here, just find the one that fits your car.

I'm using the EAAU4090

I considered a replacement dry filter. Amsoil doesn't have an exact fit to the Steeda so I thought I'd try the cleaning kit and keep my fingers crossed that I don't contaminate the MAF. I used to have to clean my MAF on my SUV every 5,000-10,000 miles due to over-oiling so I'm a little... concerned.
Moosestang, are you suggesting I spray the INSIDE (when you say "...then flip it over and spray the other.")? I think that might be overkill. But you may be correct.
I'll give the outside a conservative spray, then evaluate how well it penetrated after giving it some time to be absorbed before spraying the inside. Fortunately, the Stang isn't my DD so I have time to experiment.

Amsoil says use compressed air in this video...
