ok guys, due to recent events, my second gear synchro has gone out. so with this event, it has got me thinking. how hard would it be to do a tranny swap? would a GT500 tranny bolt up? would my driveshaft work or would i have to have custom one built? would a driveshaft from a GT500 work? has anyone else done this or have any type of experience with it? who would i need to talk to about this?

I need input on this. im seriously thinking about it. any advice would be great. thanks in advance.

 

if you go with the GT500 one which is not the T56 (it is a Tremec TR6060) you will need an adapter plate for the GT500 one and I don't think the stock one will work. They offer packages on this and I believe D&D performance has everything you need to do the swap... I am pretty sure the spline input shaft on the trans is 26 too (actually you can upgrade with the T56 to 26 spline) so the clutch would need to be changed too?....
