So how many washers did you put underneath the strut bar? Cause when I had mine on there, It was really close to the throttle body and it was actually touching it

jersey, do you still have the part number for the strut bar? i'd like to ask my local dealer how much it is, and unless i have the part number, every time i go searching for a part, they always act dumbfounded or look for the wrong part

Washers?
That kinda defeats the whole purpose of the bar.
To make the body more rigid.
Its purely decorational at this point/

no idea, i bought it off a local guy. I know what you mean about the parts department, they didn't know what gt500 chin spoiler was. I just hung up and called the next closest dealer. Good Luck.

It's still on tight, it just lifts it up a little bit more, however they don't really do much anyways.

With or without the washers... the strut tower braces don't do a lot on our cars anyway.

I recommend the Edelbrock 3pt tower brace I installed on my convertible.
Mounts to the fire wall. Tech who installed it said it was the best brace he's seen for the S197's.

Yea, thats why the 2010s come with a strut tower brace
from the factory now if equipped with the optional 19"
rim/tire package.
