My 2005 Mustang GT was 6 months out of warranty when the heater blower motor quit. I had one fuse in the Smart Junction Box that wouldn't hold. After much testing, I bought another Smart Junction Box and had the dealer install it. The thing has to be programed with a computer uploading and downloading vehicle information. That fixed it.
I had them give me the old SJB back and it had a lot of flakey green material where the connectors from the wiring harness goes into the back of the SJB. This green copper patina is caused by a moisture reaction with copper. It is kind of like the build up you would see on battery terminals that need cleaned, although that usually is white and not from copper. There are several connectors on the back of the SJB and the flaky green build up was on more than one of the connections.
I don't have any water leaks in the SJB area. I attribute it to moisture in the air. I usually didn't use the heater setting much, but do now as it directs hot air to the SJB area.
If you want to disconnect the wiring harness connectors, I suggest using some CRC QD (Quick Dry) Electronic Cleaner to lube up the connectors as they can be stiff sometimes. That Smart Junction Box is known for causing a variety of electrical problems.

where is the sjb located?
the passenger window works fine though, so i think it maybe something in the door. is there a trick to getting the door panel off?
ive pulled the screws out from around the panel, the one behind the door handle, all the screws around the speaker(which will not come out) and ive got the one underneath the window switches.

There is a removable door to gain access to it.
The door sill can also be remoxed as well as the
kick panel to gain 100% access to the SJB.
The controls or 'brain' for the window
motors are on the motors themselves. They are
two independent systems.
Check F5(DriversSideMotorPower) and/or F44 (DACC)
or in the BEC under the hood and/or Fuse 6 in the SJB.

The A/C clutch fuse is the only climate control fuse in the SJB.
