The CHE K member brace and the torque limiters, which are purchased separately but should be installed together, basically limit engine movement under "spirited driving" and maintain driveline geometry.

I don't know about you but under full throttle I sometimes miss second gear and at first it made no sense because I was performing the shift motions just fine. But the driveline flex causes a misalignment of the remote shifter the S197s have. The K-member brace and limiters keep everything still.

So THAT'S why that happens lol it kept happening to me and it was pissing me off. I was thinking "I know I didn't drop the clutch early!" I would drive hard through first go for second and then hear nothing but this HORRIBLE grinding. :-( Maybe that will be my next mod. Hmmmm.

I'm actually looking for a cheap mod under $200 as well :-P I have much fewer mods than the OP.

It should be just under $100 per piece...and you can do it yourself easily in your driveway. Less than $200 and you won't have to worry about your $3000+ tranny falling apart.

Are there any other noticable benefits?

Well the brace can be installed without the torque limiters (the part that keeps you from grinding) and it bolts between the front control arms. Kinda like a strut tower brace but underneath your car. So this alone does make the car feel a little more solid around corners. But the biggest benefit is when you add the torque limiters (they attach to the brace) you stop missing those damn shifts.

EDIT: I just realized they sell both together as one item as well.....

Do sequential turn signals count as an exterior mod?

No, its a performance mod. I gained 17 rear wheel horsepower from adding my sequentials.

If I am in a close race and they start pulling on me, I hit my hazards and fly right by them.

It's like nitrous without a bottle.

Whew. Good. I thought I was making a dumb suggestion.

I was able to buy my sequentials when they were $99 at Brenspeed...and they are by far the most entertaining thing I have done to the car....lol...and so easy to do. I can see people in cars behind me signaling to their passengers to watch my lights.

Its quite amusing.
