VENT PODS FOR Gauges
#11
Thanks guys. I have decided to get the wideband and the boost/vac cobalt. I was quoted:
Installation estimate of wideband gauge would be about $180.00 (a bit over 2 hours as this one requires that we do some welding to your exhaust pipe... because the provide an oxygen sensor specifically for this gauge)
Installation estimate of boost gauge would be about $85.00 (a tiny bit over 1 hour... pretty straightforward install but I do believe that a fuse holder is required for this one gauge... just a couple of bucks though.)
what do you guys think of the prices? I am about to buy the vent pods from rouch but there is no option on shipping and i would like it all done at the same time as the sc install which is happening now.... how fast did you guys get the pods from Rouch?

Stage3 sells the pods. Maybe call them first thing in the morning?

I installed my gauges myself, except the welding of the bung for the wideband. It took me like maybe 4 hours total just taking my time and making sure everything was clean. When I had the S/C installed, I had already run the wideband wiring into the engine compartment and just zip tied it to the battery area. The shop welded the bung and plugged it in for me. I have my gauges installed in a SoS dual pillar, and then the wideband in between the 2 vents in the dash:
