Default Dyno help...

Okay so i dynod last saturday and the morons did it in 3rd. I told the guy several times im sure it is to be done in 4th but they still did it in 3rd. I talked to the owner and he said he iwll give me 3 more pulls but if my numbers aren't higher than i gotta pay the normal 50 bucks...so the question is will i get higher numbers? i don't wanna waste $50 bucks you know...i think it should have been done right the first time. what should i do guys?

btw the pulls were done on a dynojet and i made 293hp and 308 tq

All my dynos were in 4th gear. I don't know if it makes a difference. I would call another dyno shop like Dynospeed, or Brenspeed they should know. Those numbers are way off from the numbers in your sig. Was the 3rd gear test run on the car in your sig?

I would tell them yes, I will pay you if my numbers are lower, but if they are higher than you give me my money back.

Actually, I'd probably tell them to screw off and go to a different shop!

You're numbers will be lower. The reason why you need to be in 4th is because 4th gear is a 1:1 ratio and the dyno will be expecting the engine and wheel speeds to be the same. Being in a lower gear will give you a bigger torque multiplication affect thus making the readouts higher than expected.

Are you sure it was done in 3rd and not 4th gear? Because 293hp and 308tq sound about right with your mods. The 326hp 342tq you have in your sig sound like they were done in 3rd.

I have similar mods and I only dynod 290whp and 312wtq.

the 326 one was done in 4th on a diff day diff dyno i just havent changed my sig...293 and 308 was in 3rd on the dyno jet. The reason i think there still way off is because the 326 one was done on the same dyno and day as my buddy in a 03 cobra and he dynod 418 on the first day and then 430 on the dyno jet...i keep getting ****ed over
