Default Temperature sending unit

Im installing a temperature gauge on my 06 mustang gt, where would I install the sending unit being that these cars don't have a temperature sensor. The GTs are configured with a CHT (Cylinder Head Temp) sensor. Thanks in advance for any ideas, pics would be great.

For real no one knows anything about a temperature gauge install.
Where are all the experts?

If I remember right the cylinder head temp sensor is up under the intake manifold, but check here, it's for an 05 but I'm sure it's in the same spot for an 06

Driver's side of the engine, beneath the exhaust manifold....there's a brass plug. An adapter goes in there, and the sensing unit in the adapter. The thread specs of the adapter are metric to 1/8" NPT. You should be able to get it from Autometer.
