I thought about going with the matte black until I found out that you can't wax them, so long term I don't think they will hold up very well to the elements. The '80's GT's with the matte black hood stripe didn't fare well after a few years.

Not being able to wax them is right but I'm ok with it. I'll just buy a new one whenever the time comes. It's only 36 bucks.
