HELP... SCT X3 STOPS WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VORTECH INSTALL
#11
I've never heard of this, so your best bet is to contact SCT as you already have. Riptide's suggestion is worth a shot too... I'd be curious what happens when you attach the device to a PC and fire up LiveLink...
Shadow, the X3 is a great device, don't hesitate.

when hook up to the computer like it right now no issues, it even lets me open up the brenspeed tune to adjust the parameters the issue is just with loading tunes into the car. Ahhhhh! anyway I went down to see the ride and the anticipation is too much. The install looks great, the air filter rubs on the side of the car its a snug fit, Mud- it that how yours looks? I was hooked-up with a polished throttle body connector so its polished in the palce that looks good. Sweet!!! I will post pics and update. Thanks for the help Rip/Mud. much appreciated.

I've actually rotated the shield to the left since that pic was taken, so the heat from the blower is shielded a bit. According to Brenspeed the correct position for the MAF is around 7AM. The Vortech instructions show it at ~10AM.

So your car has no OEM tune or aftermarket tune in it's ECM/PCM?
You may get stuck trailering it, having it taken to the dealership to upload the OEM tune, then waiting on SCT to get you a new tuner with tunes in.
Aka starting from scratch which may be the safer bet.
