Didn't know that... in that case, Smooth_J, it would be pretty dumb to go with anything but a JDM Saleen S/C kit IMO. I'm not a fan of the RoushCharger...

My trust in this installer = priceless.

Mudflap: Will you change to a different radiator coolant for the summer and/or would it make any difference?
Nah, I have no plans to change anything. I honestly doubt it would matter. Its really the intake temps that matter IMO. I am hoping my new cowl hood might help with that (its being delivered sometime in the next couple hours! ). The stock hood has an oven effect. Steeda claims up to 100 degrees over the outside ambient temps, and that their cowl hood lowers that to within 5 degrees of ambient. Hopefully this one I ordered is as efficient...

lol, you spend it faster than I make it.

Was the hood cheaper than an intercooler?

I want the 2.5" cowl from cervinis site. The 4" just looks to big to me. I'm sure it's even better at cooling but it's ugly IMO.

Hope I didn't just insult your choice. lol

The hood was about $700, but it wasn't meant to substitute an intercooler. Still, the lower the intake temps, the better. I expect some improvement over the stock "kiln" however. If the air being sucked into the blower is colder to begin with, its not a bad thing, and the cooler it is under the hood, the cooler the blower itself will be.

Riptide I agree, 4" cowls look ridiculous on street cars. They make sense for track beasts running 9s and 10s though. The one I ordered is a VIS Racing 2.5" cowl in carbon fiber. I have a set of black wheels with brand new tires sitting in my garage waiting to be mounted as well this weekend, so I am going more for the race car look than street/pretty.

Alright all...I am GO for the SC I spoke it over with my wife already and well lets just say I need to do a "few" things around the place :P

I already spoke to JDM, they will provide me quotes and get back to me shortly. In the meantime...which one do I get?

I would like one to have some type of warranty on it so the motor/trans/axle since this is my DD (avg 70-80 miles per day round trip for work). I currently have very little miles on the car, but I don't want a high boost since this a DD.

Anything to recommend?

You changed your sig. 415rwhp now? Did you get it dyno'd again?

No, because I got tired of explaining it to everyone. I tried to make the situation clear, but I've failed miserably. For the the last time, lol.

When the S/C was installed, I was not there for it or the dyno pulls. The shop only dyno'd the car to 5800 RPM, not the 6500 RPM that is more standard and what Brenspeed does.

The car made 397rwhp @ 5800 RPM. SO, I sent the dyno sheet to Seth at Brenspeed, and he said the car was making great power with the kit and the dyno sheet looked really good. HOWEVER, they should have run it up to 6500 he said to get the best #. According to Brenspeed, the car would have made *around* ~415rwhp @ 6500 rpm.

Hence, to avoid misrepresentation of the kit on the car, I changed it to be more accurate as to the true output of the car. Everyone here kept seeing the 397rwhp and was ignoring the RPM, hence thinking the kit was only good for "under 400rwhp", which is untrue.
