Unhappy shifters

Stupid on my part! I never even checked what fit what.

Too bad as I like the idea of a pistol grip for an auto.

Just to throw a complication into this, I purchased this item and for whatever reason the shifter handle on a convertible is different (although it is identically ugly) and this handle will not work with it. So I'm stuck with the ugly handle.

Hey April, i have left you a voice mail and was waiting for a reply. You are correct and some early convertibles are different as i have been telling all to check before purchasing now. I have not yet had one to check or measure and will come out to get some measurements and possibly make it work. You are in no way stuck with this item, so please send back to me (you have my address) and i will refund your money as i originally suggested immedieatly.Sorry for the confusion, Charlie.

Ya, Charlie is a great guy! For some reason on some verts Ford used a difrant shifter or at least one with a difrant shifter arm however Ford will tell you they are all the same. I even order me a second stock shifter just so I would have a spare and be able to work on mods of my stock shifter without worrying about breaking it. And it worked out great for coming up with the tucked in boot mod

I'm going to take some pictures tonight of mine with my hand in the photo so you can see just how small the boot is when you do the "tucked mod" I will also include a ruler shot too.

I know April, she is a sweet person! After reading again,I really think she was saying how ugly the stock one is and she is stuck with that. I have a yellow stitched boot here for her and i cant wait to see how it looks on her Yellow and black car so i will figure something out.

Thats what it sounded like she said to me too. Would love to see that yellow stitched boot too! Hopfully she can get you what you need to correct the issue.
