Looks alot better with the boot tucked under the console instead of squared off at the base around the trim ring. After looking at it I was wondering why you couldn't remove the black plastic that slides back and fourth at the base of the shifter and tuck the boot in there so you can see the letters indicating what gear it is in????? Also Cutter, I noticed you had the decorative silver tips on your old shifter. I would be interested in taking those off your hands if you would be willing to sell them to me???

Good idea on the black plastic sliding part. However, that part actually moves the red indicator. If that is removed, nothing else moves.Pretty wierd design actually and not too common.

Really like the way it looks!
That chrome ball looks incredible. Tucking it in like that is exactly what I was talkin about earlier and I may be too late in suggesting this but did you try removing the top silver piece with the indicator on it to allow for more room to put the bezel back on? Could help so you dont have to trim it.

The problem is the chrome bezel with not fit over the shifter with the leather in between. I think Cutterwolf is having the bezel machined to make it fit correctly. I went ahead and tucked my boot in as well and it does look much nicer. I am going to wait to see what Cutterwolf comes up with on his bezel and how much they had to machine off to make it fit. I have my Roush bezel I want to put back on.

This is one of the coolest mods I have dont to my car and highly recommend it.

Yeah I know I was saying that if you take this piece off it may give you the room needed. Its what I'm doing on mine but I'm reusing the stock trim piece so I dont know if that aftermarket one is bigger or what have you. Just thought I'd mention it.
