Experience with Drilled and Slotted Rotors
#16
Man, if I hadn't just gone broke upgrading suspension I would jump on those Baer's. I could have sworn I heard drilled rotors are illegal in SCCA auto-x so OP if you're thinking of doing some auto-x events you may want to check into that. However, I LOVE the look of the drilled/slotted ones.
RPI - if (when) you sell out please stock some more because I'll be coming to find you for a set next month.

Hey guys,
Thinking of getting some drilled and slotted rotors from Rotopros. Specifically, Front+Rear Drilled and Slotted depp black zinc plated rotors for about $250.
Now my questions to everyone:
3. Will these rotors holdup over time? Or are drilled and slotted rotors not the way to go?
Thanks,
Nick

Slotting does not reduce the life span of the rotor. BUT, it acts like a cheese grater on your pads. They are designed to scrape away a little bit of pad so you don't get glazing on the road course.
Drilled and slotted is simply for bling. Notice that your don't see that on many race cars any more; where the used to be the gold standard.

Depends on what you are doing honestly. Quite a few people just chance the lines, fluid, and pads and they are good to go. However if you are tracking, and would like to have less fade (the bigger the rotor, the longer it takes to heat up) then its a decent upgrade for the price.
