I did a search on the RST clutch and it was around $700 or so.

Now I don't know about labor, however it should be about 3-4 hours I believe to replace. I am not 100% sure though.

Here is a video:

$700-800 for the parts and figure at least $500 for labor depending on who you have do the work.

FWIW....Roush 427R with 435/400 hp/tq - ford factory clutch & engine internals. Roush P-51 with 510/510 hp/tq - upgraded clutch & forged internals.

I'm still of the opinion that 450/400+ hp/tq at the crank is the dividing line of conservative safety for the weakest links in the engine & drivetrain.

It comes close, no doubt about that. However it all depends on how you treat the car as well. If you stomp on everyday, or go to the track everyday then nothing will last. Heck, even nascar transmissions go from time to time :P I don't mean go 45 in a 65 zone, but you get the idea.

As long as you give it the proper fluids and etc, the car will run fine IMHO. Thats another reason why i am getting the warranty - just in case. Like I said in the last thread - if it blows, then it will be my excuse to get a FR 5.0 :P and a KO transmission, or even a GT500 one.

I bought my RST and Mcloed Billet Steel Flywheel on a group buy so I paid less.

I would figure $1200 in parts (clutch & FW) + $200-350 in labor.

Getting a new TOB isnt a bad idea either that is around $100 from Ford.

What's the advantage to getting a new flywheel? I've heard you can just have the stock one resurfaced and keep using it.

You can resurface the stocker and the RST is made to go with it, but I figured I would get a new flywheel from the same company again to limits any issues. Plus if I had a problem they couldnt point to my stock flywheel as the problem.

If it is 100% Mcloed setup it is 100% liability for them.

I heard the biggest draw back to our transmissions is the spline. How can that be upgraded?

you buy a 26 spline input shaft and a clutch made for it.

How stupid would it be to get another transmission - like the TR-6060 (TUET 8175B - revision 2)
