Default Tuning $ Q @ PSI

Just got off the phone with PSI in Webster, TX. I am totally stock (09GT/CS, factory 3.55s, 1103 miles). I want to add a CAI with tune, and that's it for mods (i've got 2 mod bug repellants, a wife and a checkbook). They quoted me $600 for a JLT and SCT3 with two of their tunes, a regular gas and a premium gas (not DD so premium of course), and two dyno pulls for $75 extra. I inquired if I should dyno tune ($200) after install ( obviously I could do it, but they said they would install for free...takes like 10 mins, and I'm already there (60 miles from home)). He said that just for CAI a dyno tune was not necessary...any opinions? Should I dyno tune my Saturday only pony? I also asked about some competitors offering torque/race/ect tunes, and they basically said that those offering these are B.S...any opinions? This place has come highly suggested, but I am wondering if I should go with one of the big two (Bren/Bama) instead...this is my first go at cars&tuning (love my trucks) so any opinions/suggestions would be of great help...thanks in advance...

I live 5 min. down the road from them, and i still went with Bama's 93 race tune and i am extremely happy. There is definitley no need for a dyno tune with a CAI. Now i will be going there soon to dyno my new LT's!

no need to dynotune a CAI. brenspeed or bama tunes are great for custom tunes w/ the CAI, you should be perfectly fine w/ those. but the price at PSI seems reasonable too, plus it's close to where you live and you can do a couple dyno runs as well. so either way, up to you.

Pat at PSI has done all the work to my car and i am very satisfied with his work/prices. if you ask him honestly if it is worth it to dyno with CAI only, he will tell you no. he only dyno'd my car after the L/T's, delete plates, etc went on the car. before that, you are only wasting your money and both of your's time. like stated before, call up bama or brenspeed and they will work you up an awesome tune for CAI that will be just as good as a dyno tune
