Question A pump in the Trunk?

I was cleaning my trunk yesterday, so I took out the liner took off the wheel, and I noticed this piece of equiptment allthe way back in my trunk just behind the back seat. It looks like some kind of hydraulic pump but the tubes connecting to it are hard plastic. Anyone knows what this is?

Thanks!

(the quality of the picture not so good. sorry. Low light and too much coffee not good.)

I have an '07 coupe and I don't have that so my guess is that its' your pump for the ragtop.

maybe instead of fixing the water leak problem they just secretly put a pump in the back, to pump out the water. hahahah

You figured out why the verts don't have a fold down rear seat.
