I changed my trans fluid at 40k, I have a manual. 3.15 qts of non synthetic ATF mercon 5. Old stuff came out not as thick and wasnt extacly pink anymore. They say 30k miles or something for mine...

I change my oil (mobil 1) every 5-6k miles.

i use mobile 1 fully synthetic and change every 6k...speaking of which im up for another one!

Concerning the "color" of motor oil.. I've been using amsoil sig series 0w-30 since the car had 10k on it.

It's kinda strange but the oil turns blood-red when it gets loaded with combustion by-products. It retains it's honey color up to about 10k miles then starts to change to this deep blood-red color. That's when I change it. I could probably run it out to 15k (been experimenting with some 12k changes) but when it changes to that blood red color I swap it. Wacky..
