I always felt you can't learn how a car is going to react in a bad situation unless you push the envelope occasionally to see what would happen..
I pushed the envelope of my 92 t-bird when I had it. It was a very cold January night and it rained out a few hours before, so the whole parking lot was a big piece of ice! I was like to myself, lets learn how to drive on ice...LOL. So I started slowly on the ice and then I floored it to purposely loose control so I can learn how to recover. I was there for at least an hour till a rent a cop showed up and I had to leave.

Memories...

Another time someone bumped me on the highway going 75 or so and I needed up doing 3 360s and then facing incoming traffic. Loosing my front bumper, headlights, and 1 fog. That was exciting... :/

I know the feeling. I was out with the club one night, and while the 3 guys in front of me decided to gun it after turning left at a light, I decided to do the same thing. Well, I stepped on the gas too soon as I was still turning, and ended up doing about 2 360's and ended up on the median.. while the rest of the club behind me all stopped in the middle of the road waiting for me to get out of the median. how about that for a stupid moment. lol

It always seemed to me that it would be great to learn this sort of thing on a big open tarmac with cones set up. Wish we had something like that around here.

I agree, that would be awesome here too, but I have yet to find such a place that big in NJ.

i dont want to get off topic, but ill offer this advice. If you see the blue light behind you slow down and stop. No matter how far away they are, how late you are, how close to home you are, and how fast your car is. Because even if you outrun the one cop, they are everywhere!
