I didn't feel it so much, as it was on a hard launch anyway, but there was a loud pop.

Wow that bushing is shot . It's bad that things didn't work out for you and BMR, they have many great product and I have been happy with them.
It's about time to grease my fitting, so I will be inspecting my bushings this weekend.

I put a set of Steeda Billet LCA's in mine this weekend, it came with two small tubes of white grease, I only used one for both, should I have used more? And I tourqed them to 130 ft-lbs, according to what the Ford factory ones are supposed to be tourqed to, is this too tight?

That sounds right, I would assume that since Steeda didn't give you a torque number then using the factory torque would be acceptable. As far as greasing the bushings, you needed to grease the outside and pump (3 pumps) the inside of the bushing with grease. It is recommended to grease them every 3,000 miles, to prevent premature wear.

Keep in mind that I have BMR not Steeda so your directions may be slightly different.

Yea, I greased the outside of the bushings but wasn't sure if I used enough... thats all. I didn't see a way to inject grease into the bushings on the Steeda's.

DarkFire, I had the same problem with those same LCAs. Fewere miles than you had on them... I think the bushings are physically too small in diameter to handle the twisting and binding that happens when the axle articulates (when one wheel is lower than the other...). It's possible that the people who haven't had too much of a problem are driving on nice flat roads all the time. Up here in New England the roads can get pretty bad. Frost heaves, etc...
Those new J&R or whatever you pointed out solves this binding problem pretty well.
Maybe I'll check into getting some. Mine are half rod-end and are kind of noisy...

Sounds like a case by case situation on the BMR bushings.
