Default New take offs - TPMS training

This came up in a thread a little while ago, and I wanted to put this up for discussion for a while now.

I bought a Bullitt wheel/tire set from newtakeoff.com a while back. Before ordering I called them about an assumption I had. Even though they don't mention anything about it on the site, I figured, they're just taking the wheels right off the cars and reselling them. They're not gonna bother dismounting the tires just to take the TPMS sensors off, then have to remount and balance the tire.

Turns out I was right. The sensors are still in there.

Now, I figured I'd have to retrain the sensors once I installed my new set. Well, it's been about 1,500 miles and no warning light. It was suggested in the previous thread that I reset my computer to see if I get the waring light. Well, since I don't really want to go outta my way to risk the hassle of a warning light I'm not getting, I figured I'd put it up for discussion. Anybody else with take offs have the same experience? Did you have to retrain the sensors?

I ran my take-offs for about 100 miles and then it posted the TPMS alert on the dash. Keep the sensors.Even used they end up costing. With the reusable bands you can re-install the sensors again and again. Remember to use two sided 3-m tape when you mount the sensors on the new wheels.
