Default $$ question about whipple kit (blower not included)

So a really close friend of mine blew out the bearings in his supercharger. Instead of getting it replaced he bought a new whipple, but not the kit. He told me i can have the whipple, i just have to buy everything for the kit, and replace the bearings in the supercharger. How much do you think that would cost, is it worth going through all the trouble getting the parts for the kit?

it's a tough call, but if you could get the
supercharger refurbished for $1500 or
less, it would probably be a good way
to build a non intercooled kit, for much
less than buying one new.

Get the blown unit and start the repair process and build up your supporting cast at your own pace.

38lb injectors ($250) and colder spark plugs($120) are part of the kit, also the intake system.. which.. I dont know.. you might have to order from whipple or maybe give lethal performance a call, they may also tell you if its worth fixing the broken system and all that...

Mishri has a plan and Lethal is a great place to start on the parts for the rebuild and the supporting mods including the whipple parts

+1 with what everyone above has said....call around and tell people what you've got and get their opinion on what's realistic....sounds to me like you've got nothing to lose except for the time you spend calling around

good luck and keep us posted on how it turns out!
