I was wondering that, too. But if you tell us the dealer sold you tires, then I know why they gave you "..a failing grade for bald tires."

Actually there was a thread about the Pirelli's recently and I guess a lot of people wear them out at ~20,000 miles. I think it's strange though, my stock tires were on there for 28,000 miles and it looked like they could double that.

easily..my stockers were on for 50K and still plenty of tread.

not too hard, but this is my first manual and i like to do a lot of spirited driving. i live close to very nice roads with tight turns. i never liked the tires and wheel setup as these were the 17s. i had always imagined swapping them out for some bigger and wider tires. if its an justification, it was my first year driving the car and i had put all miles except for the 11 that came on the car. so i drove it a lot. i love it!
