how do you "reset" the acceleration pedal?

i remember it was by pushign it down slowly for a number of seconds, a number of times, but i need specifics. thanks

I think what that does is actually reset the throttle body, but I could be wrong.

I think you push the pedal to the floor, then slowly let off. Do this all while the key is in the "on" position. After take the key out, and then start the car.

Hopefully somebody who knows for sure will post, I could be right, but I figured I'd try and help out
